Health related fitness can be defined as optimum fitness of all the body's systems with the absence of disease and problems resulting from inactivity.

In other words, it's just achieving and maintaining excellent general health.

A mention of the word "fitness" brings to mind an image of a body builder or a pro athlete.

They actually are examples of skill related fitness, a level of fitness needed for their particular sport or activity.

  • Educating yourself on the symptoms of stress can prevent both physical and emotional problems. Sometimes stress is not evident but masquerades as other ailments, such as headaches.
To achieve this type of fitness, the secret is to strive for excellence in all 3 types of health - physical, emotional, and mental health. Fitness and health are connected, they're not separate and you can't really have one without the other.
